Why does this world exist?

Why does this world exist?

An Indian parable

One very sincere Soul turned to God with the question:
“Father, why does this world exist, because it is full of suffering?
” In order to know oneself through the multitude.
“Am I a part of you?”
— You are one with me, You belong to Me, like a drop belongs to the ocean. All that you see around you are my forms, through which I know myself. All the matter of the universe is my body.
— But why are there so many unbelievers on Earth?
— This is the divine meaning. As I descend to earth, every part of me sinks into separation from me. The benefit of Unity can be realized only through the experience of loneliness, separation from your higher Self, that is, me. It is impossible to know that you are happy until you realize what unhappiness is, it is impossible to know that you are tall until you realize what is low. You won’t be able to experience the part of yourself that you call fat until you know what thin is. You cannot experience yourself as what you are until you encounter what you are not. This is the meaning of the theory of relativity and all physical life. The soul comes to Earth to know Love through non-Love; bliss through despair; the good of immortality through mortality; pleasure through suffering… for everything is known by comparison.
— What is my task, Father?
— You have to know yourself. Having known yourself, you will become a conscious part of Me. To do this, you need to learn to accept everything as it is, learn to love and forgive everyone. You need to become as humble as the water in a quiet harbor… Be observant, be silent, and you will know the Totality of everything.
— How can I live?
— do not desire the outside world, but strive hard to realize Me in yourself! Only then will you see Me everywhere, in everyone, and regain eternal bliss…
