Conversations with Pilot Babaji
were conducted by Sati Mataji
Kathmandu Ashram, May 2012
Namaste!
We are currently next to Babaji's Pilot in Kathmandu. In trembling anticipation before going out to Kailash, we comprehend the centuries-old wisdom from the mouth of our teacher.
This year, about 10 students of Babaji from Ukraine and Russia, about 20 students from India and Nepal, as well as Swami Vishnudevananda Giri Ji with 12 monks from the Laya Yoga monastery and 45 lay students are going to Kailash.
As Pilot Baba says, “For us, Kailash is a great place of power in which we sincerely believe! Those who get there this time have the blessing of Shiva himself. Just in those days, when we will be standing on Lake Mansorovar, at the foot of the Great Mountain, a big celebration will take place and hundreds of Great Yogis living on Kailash will come out and celebrate it!”
Indeed, even according to astrological forecasts, the period from May 23 to June 4 is one of the most significant. The so-called “corridor of eclipses” (lunar and solar, falling on these dates), predicts the period of our life for 18 years ahead. Therefore, even those who do not go to Kailash, be attentive to what is happening now in your life and especially in your head. After all, even secret thoughts will become apparent over the next 18 years!
However, let's listen to Babaji's Pilot about sadhu culture, tapas, samadhi and love.
About Prana and mastery
The vortex creates the whole world, the whole universe. Prana is essentially the truth. Prana is the primary source. Prana creates prakriti, and prakriti creates matter. From this, 4 things are formed: atma, paramatma, prakriti and matter, as well as body, mind, vital energy and cetana – awareness, awakening. The body is matter, the mind is prakriti, and the senses are prana. Everything is quite simple to understand, the main thing is to discipline your body and mind. Yoga is the best way to achieve this. Yoga gives strength to the body. And why make the body strong? To play soccer? For example, you will be more attractive if you have a lot of energy in your body!
Therefore, yoga is becoming a teaching for the body today, but if people practice yoga with such motivation, they will never be able to achieve meditation. After all, meditation is total relaxation! If there is too much energy in your body, you will tend to do something all the time, you will not be able to relax! And you need to learn how to control your body with the help of sankalpa (the power of intention). Sankalpa is a mantra. Besides, you don't need to practice a lot of asanas. Choose one and establish yourself in it! For example, sidhasana, sukhasana, padmasana. Learn to stay in one for about 3 hours and then you will understand everything! No need to practice anything at all anymore! The same applies to bandhas, mudras and pranayamas – choose one of them and do it regularly. If you become a master in one asana, one pranayama, one bandha, you will become a master in everything! But since a person is unable to do one thing on a regular basis, he begins to collect Masters - today a Pilot Woman, tomorrow another, the day after tomorrow a third, and so on ad infinitum. But the more you collect collections and trophies, the more you mislead yourself and your mind starts racing even more.. The truth does not come this way! Remember, if you know one thing thoroughly, you can call yourself a Master! After all, then your inner fire will flare up and the transformation will take place! You will have your own experiences that you can pass on to others.…
About the teacher-student relationship
Being a teacher is difficult! After all, people who come to you do not always want true knowledge! If a student says, “I don't know anything,” that's good! After all, the only thing that is needed from him is dedication. Students who are ready for dedication never ask anything – they just love you. Such students can achieve realization. And those who start asking for something, demanding something, will never achieve anything! Their mind is always confused and their life will be confused. So don't come here to ask questions... don't bring your body or your mind to the master, come to the Master with your heart. If you come to a master with a body or mind, arguments and confusion begin. If you come with your heart, you come with prana! And prana is bhava, total dedication. If you have dedication, you have everything!
If I tell you that I will give you enlightenment, it means that I am fooling you, deceiving you! I say: practice and the energy and power for realization will come! I am the index stone. My task is to point you in the direction of yourself.
Time is the truth. We give it the name God. Everyone is a person – Vishnu, Shiva, and Brahma. But this is also the mind! Being a sadhu, a sannyasi, is also the mind. As soon as you say that you are a sannyasi, you fall back into the fetters of your mind. Concentration, pranayama, yoga – it's all the mind. Body and mind help each other.
When I came to my Master in the Himalayas, he told me: “Sit down, sit down and do nothing!”. I sat for an hour, two, three, ten. The day passed, the night passed... and eventually I started to suffer from it. What to do? Where to go? But at some point something happened and I started my first astral journey. My body and mind were sitting on the shore, and my astral body was gone. I sat for a day, two, three… Hari Baba came and hit me. “Hey, what are you doing sitting here?”What is it?" he asked. And I answered him.: “You didn't come, but they told me to sit and not get up, so I sat and didn't get up...”
The same thing happened with the Mats: Even Mata, Sri Mata and Shraddha Mata. I put them in the house and told them not to come out until something happened to them, not even to wait for food. And at five in the morning they came running! Happy ones! I told them, “Don't say anything! It happened because you had a strong belief that It would happen.”
If I say something, it's very important. Everything the Master says is not empty words. If the Teacher says “sit down and sit,” don't ask him how long. Just sit down and wait. This is the master's game. If you sit, anugraha and kripa and all the blessings will come to you! Don't think about eating, showering, or walking. Don't think about anything, just sit there. Just wait! Close your eyes and wait! If you don't come out after 4 hours, then your master will get worried, he will come running and ask if everything is okay.… But if you don't open your eyes, your inner journey will begin. The master awakens and reminds you that you have power and indicates a connection with God!
Close your eyes and gradually the mind will leave you alone!

Re: Conversations with Pilot Babaji
About fasting and tapas
Mahavira starved for 40 days! But his every cell was starving along with him! Therefore, let every cell of you fast when you decide to starve... If you eat something with your eyes or thoughts, or just take a piece of food, this is no longer starvation! It will not promote meditation! It is important not to deceive yourself! Then it's better to just meditate and eat!
Tapas leads the body and mind to suffering. If you are ready for this, you can start starving. For the first 7 days, eat food, reducing its amount every day, for the next 7 days just drink, and for the next 7 days, fast. Then you can have a spiritual experience. If you eat, a subtle experience is almost impossible!
To get some kind of spiritual experience, you need to completely purify yourself and ignite the fire of transformation.…
About Sannyas and Sadhus
Why do many sadhus dislike me?
Because I'm crushing their hopes. They want to hear things from me that are familiar to them, and I say the exact opposite! I don't follow either the Buddha or Sri Shankaracharya. I'm not going to become a slave to any ideas, traditions or religions. These are very dangerous games!
You may ask, so now we don't need any teachers? I will answer that we are all teachers for each other! I'm prana, you're prana, he's prana! We are all the same! But for some reason, Mom and Dad gave you a name. If you didn't have a name, how would we address you? Therefore, in order to feel God, we recite a mantra. Your name is also a kind of mantra. The mantra that we recite at yajna, for example, has incredible power.
Many sadhus avoid their duties. They don't want to work or do anything. They are the biggest beggars in the world. But beggars can't give anything to the world. They have no food, no clothes.… They have stupid thoughts that someone should give them food, money!
But a true sadhu is the truth! Sadhu translates as completely liberated. True sadhus suffer to attain the truth! But in order to know the truth, one must stop all actions of the mind. If you think about food or clothes, you won't be able to calm your mind.
You need to control your mind and feelings. In the end, you need to be alone. If you stay alone, then realization will come!
If you have a lot of friends, a big family and you are attached to your feelings and it is impossible to separate from them, you need to be tougher towards your mind and sometimes even “beat" it. You have to convince your mind that you are not doing anything in this world and then, sooner or later, it will become free! And your freedom from the mind is enlightenment!
About me…
I did not become a sadhu in order to teach people. But language is not the truth. I cannot tell you the truth in words. Sometimes, in order to make all the students happy, you cannot even imagine how much the Master has to suffer. What kind of pain you have to endure. To take on the suffering of thousands of people. And when you have pain inside, you still have to smile, be active, and teach.…
To see that your students cannot find a common language among themselves and create new organizations, instead of uniting and restoring order in one… It's not easy!
The reflection of your mind allows you to feel me from a distance. But your mind is constantly trying to get something. Trying to make me your slave, wanting to get something from me, you don't notice how you become a slave yourself.
Your time is running out, and your master's time is beginning. And then the master just tells you: “Recite the mantra! The morality of a master is not attachment or love. This is freedom!
About love…
Love is devotion. Lack of thought, confusion of mind, lack of doubt. This is complete openness! When you truly love, you become pure water, space, without limits and limitations! That's what an open heart means! This is love! The one who says, “I love you," wants to impress others. By using language, by talking about love, you are shutting out the Truth. True love has no language!
In India, the feeling of love is called “bhava.” And there is no language in this feeling, it is devoid of words! It just happens!
