The Slavic holiday Kupala falls on June 22, the day of the summer solstice. On the night of the 21st to the 22nd, our ancestors held mass celebrations, held rituals, and praised the Ancient Gods. The celebrations continued until June 24.
Kupala night is the shortest of the year, no one should sleep that night. This is a night of Great Power. On this night, the god Svarog opens the gates of heaven and all people’s prayers will be answered. Kupalo, the god of fertility, love and fun, blesses all things with his power and fills hearts with love and the will to live.
The herbs collected on this day have a special power. Medicinal herbs and flowers are placed under Kupala dew, dried and stored. Because these herbs have more power than those gathered on another day. These herbs are fumigated at home, treated with the sick, and used in love magic.
Kupala dew also has a special magical power. In the morning at Kupala, you can heal yourself with Kupala dew. To do this, you need to get up early and walk barefoot through the Kupala dew.
Kupala Night is the best time to conceive a child, as he will have a happy fate and, as it was believed, have magical powers.
And of course, on Kupala Night, they were looking for the color of the fern, which has magical powers and opens the way to riches.
On this Day, our ancestors praised God, praised the Sun, praised Mother Earth, praised man and life, peace, harmony and love.
